Perched on the top rail of a wooden post fence, she wore charcoal grey breeches and a dark green blouse. Black gloved hands braced to either side, heels of her tall riding boots hooked onto a lower rung; a riding crop protruded from her back pocket, and a black leather bridle hung on her right shoulder. She was gazing left, her hair in a loose windblown braid. Behind her was a rolling hill cast in red-golds of sunset, dotted with grazing horses and surrounded by Arden Forest.

Basic History:
The daughter of Prince Julian and his first wife, Kaylani, Aunna spent her early years traveling between her Amber home of Avens Rest and Willow Trace; the Manor House of Flynt in Kaylani's home kingdom of Malwain. The eldest of her generation, she was less than a year younger than her Aunt Mirelle - with whom she was quite close - and nearly six years older than Random. Her brother, Tristan, is seven years her junior.
As her elder aunts before her, Aunna's early years were spent receiving an education at Mindell Abbey where she excelled in her studies; most notably literature and anatomy. While her grandfather, King Oberon, doted upon her mercilessly, her developmental years were not without heartache as first Queen Paulette's suicide, and then Mirelle's disappearance, occurred when she was thirteen. Her own mother's death three years later sent Aunna into an official state of rebellion, and she developed an openly severe dislike for her Aunt Fiona. The following spring she withdrew from Mindell, and enrolled herself at Westwood Royal Military Academy.
With two equestrians for parents, Aunna could ride almost before she could walk: she blazed through the Cavalry program and graduated Collegiate with Honours in three years. She walked the Pattern soon after, and enlisted for a full tour of duty. At the opening of the Gheneshan War, Aunna served Amber as a First Lieutenant in the 9th Mounted Infantry. They were lucky (some would say) to be stationed in Deig'a, where there were little more than heavy skirmishes for a majority of the seven years the war recorded. It was at this time that she acquired Sagr, then a long yearling, and set about raising him in her excessive spare time. The story has it that a grueling enemy encounter toward the end of the war soured her palate for combat leadership, and when time came to declare her status she opted out. For services rendered, Oberon awarded her the Pattern blade known as Feüermede.
There followed then a brief time of calm, wherein talk circulated that she was being courted by the young Lord Westwood. Nothing came of it however, and the two settled for being friends. Aunna resumed migration between Amber, Malwain, and Deig'a until shortly after Oberon's disappearance, wherein she retreated further into Shadow and kept up on Amber's current events through correspondence with her brother; however she remained unaffected by things until she was called into service to command the 9th Mounted for the march down the Black Road in the Patternfall War. Tragically, the unit was virtually decimated in the final charge of the Battle on the Chaos Front, and Aunna was slain. Her body was transported back to Amber, and buried with honours at Avens Rest.
Game Play:
- In the Project X timeline, she woke up naked in the forest of a strange Shadow with a purple squirrel companion and a very large scar over her heart. She's currently taken refuge with a nomadic tribe while she tries to get her bearings on what happened to the world and how she's still alive.
